How do I charge the woom UP battery, and how do I care for my battery?
Check out this video for instructions on how to charge the woom UP battery:
Pre-ride:
- Make sure your battery is charged! Charge the woom UP battery at room temperature, and ONLY with the supplied FAZUA charger
- Connect the magnetic Rosenberg plug to the battery, and look to the five LED lights near the plug. Those indicate the level of charge
- When the battery is fully charged, those five LED lights will go out
- Anticipate 4-6 hours to achieve a full charge
- The woom UP’s battery is designed to go into sleep mode after 8 hours of inactivity. To wake up the battery, remove the Drivepack and press the polygon power button on the power control
Post-ride:
- Turn off the battery by pressing the polygon power button, the same one used to turn it on
- Store your woom UP in a safe, well-ventilated area no hotter than 85 degrees Fahrenheit
General battery care tips:
- A good rule of thumb: When it comes to temperature, if you’re uncomfortable, your battery is uncomfortable
- Extreme hot temperatures (120 degrees Fahrenheit and above) can do permanent damage to your battery, and extremely cold temperatures (14 degrees Fahrenheit and below) will limit your range
- When parking the woom UP somewhere, encourage your Riders to park in the shade
- Always remove the Drivepack when transporting the woom UP on a car rack
- Do NOT leave your woom UP battery in a hot car
- Do NOT submerge the battery in water, or clean it with a power washer
- For overall battery health, do not leave your battery plugged in overnight
