How does woom financing work?

woom has partnered with Affirm to offer a payment plan option for the purchase of the woom UP 5 and woom UP 6. It is not currently available for the ORIGINAL woom models, nor the OFF/OFF AIR models. Affirm offers 6-month, 12-month, or 18-month payment plans, with 10-30% APR.

At check out, customers will be able to select Affirm as a payment option. From there, they can enter a few pieces of information and receive a real-time decision based on their eligibility.

Once eligibility is confirmed, customers can select the payment schedule that works best for them and their budget, and confirm their loan. Next, they will be prompted to download the Affirm app or sign in at affirm.com, and Affirm will provide email and text reminders so customers never miss a payment.

What is required to create an Affirm account?

  • Customers must be 18 years or older (19 years or older in Alabama or if you’re a ward of the state in Nebraska)
  • Provide a valid U.S. or APO/FPO/DPO home address. Buy with Affirm is not currently available to Iowa or West Virginia residents
  • Provide a valid U.S. mobile or VoIP number and agree to receive SMS text messages
  • Provide your full name, email address, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number to help Affirm verify your identity


Can I use Affirm without a mobile number?

Unfortunately, no. You need a mobile phone number from the U.S. or U.S. territories. This helps Affirm verify it’s really you who is creating your account and signing in. When you create your account, Affirm will ask for your mobile number. Each time you sign in, you’ll enter your number, and Affirm will text you a verification code. Later, if you get a new mobile number, it’s no problem to update your Affirm account. Just visit affirm.com/help.


What happens when I enable AutoPay?

Affirm will automatically debit your monthly payment amount from your payment method on each due date.


Am I required to choose AutoPay? Can I turn it off?

AutoPay is optional and will not affect Affirm’s credit decision. Customers can modify their AutoPay settings at any time.


If I cancel my order before the woom UP is shipped and I have an Affirm payment plan, what am I obligated to pay?

You are welcome to cancel a pre-order at any time. If you have made payments towards the purchase of your bike by the time you decide to cancel, woom will refund you what you have paid toward the purchase of the bike. You will also not be obligated to pay anything further. If you have set up an interest-bearing repayment option with Affirm, any interest you have paid will not be refunded. Please note that this is true for any form of credit.
